Relax & Let Go

Relax and Let Go

Relax and let go. A year from now, everything you’re stressed about won’t even matter.

If you’re like me, I have a tendency to get anxious about upcoming events. I worry too much about how everything is going to turn out. I overthink about the possible issues that may come up.

But I’ve learned to take a few deep breaths, force myself to relax, and pray. It helps me to remember that God is in control and He will be by my side at all times to give me the support and strength I need to get through it.

Our heavenly Father loves us so much that He will never leave us nor forsake us – especially in our times of greatest need and anxiety. He fills our hearts with peace and says, “Relax, let go. I’ll take care of this.”

A year from now we’ll look back and laugh, remembering how stressed out we got about something so insignificant.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7

To accomplish great things

To accomplish great things

To accomplish great things we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1

Let us fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary and limiting, but what is unseen is eternal and glorious. For we live by faith, not just by sight. This kind of faith pleases God, our heavenly Father, and is rewarded by Him.

Extraordinary Grace

Extraordinary Grace

May you always have extraordinary grace and faith to cope with the difficulties of life.

Yes, it is true that life is anything but easy sometimes, but rest assured, God’s grace gives us power to face the difficult times and get through them in victory. The God of the universe has not abandoned you and has good plans for your life. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

When you’re feeling weak, always turn to Him first for more grace. He has declared, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

Pray and ask Him to give you the favor and strength you need to make it through. He sees your hurt and your pain, and has promised to be with you every step of the way. This too shall pass.

You don’t need to be perfect

You don't need to be perfect

You don’t need to be perfect. Just strive to be better today, in some way, than you were yesterday.

For the betterment of yourself and our society, a small change in yourself can bring a bigger change in our world.

Become a better version of yourself in some way today. Perhaps it’s changing a bad attitude or dismissing an unkind thought or word. Or, maybe it’s a simple act of kindness towards another person. Every improvement you make will have a rippling effect throughout the universe.

Always try to improve yourself and strive to be a better person. Who knows? Maybe you’ll inspire others to start working on themselves too.

Sowing & Reaping

Sowing and Reaping

Maturity is when you have the power to hurt someone that did you wrong. But instead, you forgive and let God deal with them.

There is a universal law that measures your actions of good and evil, cause and effect. It is called the “Law of Sowing and Reaping.” The Buddhists religion calls it “Karma.” The Bible says, “Whatever a man sows, he shall also reap.” (Galatians 6:7).

In other words, if you do good, good will come back to you. Conversely, if you do bad, bad will come back to you as well.

That is the reason why we should strive to forgive others when they do us wrong, even when we have the power to hurt them back. Whenever possible, just take a deep breath, say a prayer for them, “God, You deal with them,” and walk away. That’s a sign of maturity; that’s self-control.

That’s also faith and trust that God is watching at all times (which He is) and will deal with that person’s evil deeds in His own way, and His own timing.

The Bible also tells us, “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather do not give place to wrath; for it is written, ‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,’ says the Lord. Do not be overwhelmed by evil, but overcome evil with good.” – Romans 12:19-21

Isn’t it refreshing to know that God is in control and will not allow evildoers to go unpunished? Unless they repent and turn from their wicked ways, sooner or later they will face the judgment they deserve. We don’t always have to take matters in our own hands; for God will always vindicate us.

Count your blessings

Count your blessings

Count your blessings. Don’t let the negative things that happen spoil your joy and peace. Be grateful for what you have.

Life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups, and it has its downs. Some days you feel like you’re on the top of the world, but other days you struggle with all sorts of difficulties.

Problems are a stepping stone to something better.

Don’t let the negative things that happen today get you down; tomorrow will always be better. Thank God for everything, and be grateful for what you do have. There’s always someone else who would love to have what you have, and be in your very shoes.

Good times are coming. If you believe it, say ‘amen.”

Choose your battles wisely

Choose you battles wisely

Choose your battles wisely. Not every fight is worth the effort.

On a related note from my previous message regarding negative people, be prudent in fighting your battles. Some battles are simply not worth the time or effort. Conflict with negative people uses up huge amounts of your energy and time. Remember, you don’t need to engage in every fight they might try to instigate with you. Instead, stay positive, focused, and save your energy for more important things. Many offenses are best overlooked or dealt with another day.

Concentrate on nourishing positive and healthy vibes.

Removing negative people from your life is essential. No matter how painful it might be, you’ve got to do it. Yes, I realize that, despite the damage they do, some of these negative people you deeply love and care for. You may even have to cope with a period of mourning and sadness for them. But stand firm in your decision; don’t allow emotions of guilt or indecision draw you back into a toxic relationship.

You deserve to be happy, so always choose positive, healthy friendships and relationships.
